Among the products to be exhibited by
Blankom USA will be:
EMA 207 4-WAY MPEG-ENCODER/MULTIPLEXER
Ideally suited for cable-TV headends, broadcasting applications and
digital video
distribution via telco structures, the new EMA 2007 offers a
cost-efficient solution for
encoding up to four Audio/Video or SDI signals into one digital ASI
Transport stream
while combining multiplexing in one unit. The module is designed to
enable cable
operators to create digital playout by processing analog inserted
A/V (SDI optionally)
signals in digital services. The unit is equipped with a separate
ASI-input interface intended for cascading a specific number of EMA
207 modules to create a digital ASI-TS with multiple programs. The
ASI interface of the first module in the cascade (Master) can also
be used to insert any other ASI-TS, making this a highly flexible
solution for future digital networks. The EMA 207 also has an
integrated webserver (TCP/IP) and features easy local and remote
operation and control possibilities.
DRP 393 DVB-S2 MPEG-4-RECEIVER/DECODER
Designed for stand-alone operation in cable headends, the new DRP
393 is a DVB-S/S2-
Receiver/Decoder in a 19" housing (1 RU). The DVB-S/S2
Receiver/Decoder receives a
digital TV program packet with encoded MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 data from
L-Band and
generates an MPEG transport stream (ASI) and a video and audio
signal. Two integrated Common Interfaces for Conditional Access
Modules (CAM) such as Irdeto Access,
Viaccess, Cryptoworks, and Conax allows for the
decoding of encrypted TV programs. Subsequent to demodulation and
forward error correction, the MPEG transport stream is externally
available at the electrical ASI outputs; ASI single- and
multi-decryption is available as option. Internally, the MPEG
transport stream is routed to an MPEG decoder which demultiplexes
the transport stream multiplex and decodes one video channel and up
to 4 (stereo) audio channel for a TV program.
DRD 699 DVB-S2 RECEIVER/IP MEDIA ROUTER
Combining two unique features in one, the new DRD 699 has a
DVB-S/DVB-S2 frontend and demodulates all data packetized in MPEG-2
transport streams. DVB transport streams with multiple services
(MPTS) are processed and encapsulated at the IP output as transport
streams with single services (SPTS) ready for IP boxes. In addition,
the IP Media Router DRD 699 receives IP data transported within
MPEG-2 transport packets. The IP data is received encapsulated in
MPEG-2 transport streams (MPE) and the IP Media Router DRD 699
decapsulates the IP data for further processing in IP networks. The
IP output supports both unicast and multicast transport.
DRD 694/695 DVB-S2 TWIN RECEIVER
Designed for HDTV signals that are modulated as DVB-S2 signals, the
new DRD 694 / DRD 695 receives two digital MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 encoded
TV signals with DVB-S or DVB-S2 modulation from L-Band and generates
two independent MPEG transport
streams. The MPEG transport streams are available after demodulation
and error correction at the two ASI and the GigE outputs. The
switching between DVB-S and DVB-S2 mode can be done automatically.
Two ASI test ports allow the control of the transport stream during
operation. Scrambled signals are descrambled via the
DVB-Common-Interface (DVB-CI) with Conditional Access Modules
(CAMs). Every input
signal is fed over two DVB-CI interfaces to make possible the
descrambling of more services within the transport stream with up to
two CAM modules.
DIX 200 IP-REMULTIPLEXER/STREAMER
The new DIX 200 IP Remultiplexer and Streamer represents the latest
generation of transport stream remultiplexers and is capable of
simultaneously processing the data
streams of more than 1000 radio and television programs coming from
256 sources. The four independent remultiplexers comprised in the
device generate four separate output
data streams. The DIX 200 delivers the four output streams at
gigabit IP output, which is both logically and physically
independent from the input network. The IP Remultiplexer and
Streamer uses 4 × 256-Mbit SDRAMs as temporary storage for the data
streams to be
inserted and 4 × 32-Mbyte flash memory for storing tables, set-top
box software updates, etc. to be inserted. The comprised storage
capacity totals more than 2 Gigabit in the
1 RU height device.
