Built around a modular platform
hosting a wide selection of modules, Appear TV’s SC2000/SC2100 can
be configured as a turnkey head-end, or as a standalone solution
designated for intensive service processing applications. It has an
integrated architecture that offers superior reliability, whilst the
single web-based management interface simplifies deployment and
reduces maintenance routines. A drag-and-drop GUI offers intuitive
selection of services and comprehensive management facilities
featuring automatic and manual configuration possibilities.
Appear TV’s SC2000/SC2100 is ideal for digital TV broadcast over
FTTH, ADSL2+/VDSL and for cable operators moving towards IP
distribution. The solution is also suitable for smaller digital
broadcast networks; in the hospitality industry and in corporate or
Governmental offices where streaming broadcast TV to PCs is valued
for continual information monitoring purposes.
Earlier this year, Appear TV launched a new ‘always-on’ intelligent
software core that provides with huge benefits to any operator using
IP for video distribution in terms of quality and network efficiency
through high up-time and low down-time.
The SC2100 is a 1RU chassis compact product solution that is based
upon the powerful features of the SC2000. This exciting design
fetaure allows for an increased variety of input and output
interfaces on both the front and the back of the unit, enabling the
customer to tailor the product to its own specific operational
needs. The smaller footprint of the SC2100 makes it ideal for the
hospitality market, where space is often at a premium.

that came out of this process; for instance smaller IPTV operators
